Create a puzzle

If you want to create a puzzle to be published on this web page, just follow the instructions below.

First go to the web site of Half-Baked Software which is located at: http://web.uvic.ca/hrd/halfbaked.
Then download Hot Potatoes, which is the software that you need to create quizzes and crosswords. There are versions for both Macintosh and PC Windows 95/98/NT. After downloading it, install it.
When the software is installed, run it. You can create 6 different kinds of quizzes and crosswords. For detailed instructions on how to create a quiz or crossword, refer to the help files of the software.
After you've created your quiz and think that it's ready for publication choose File ==> Save. Then create an empty directory/folder and choose File ==> Save to Web, select your new directory/folder and click OK. There should now be at least three files in the new directory/folder that you've chosen. All with the file extension HTM or HTML and there may be some additional files depending on if you chose to use images or not.
Now you just need to send me the files in a plain email message and I'll do the rest. Compose a message (you can use your favorite email software), attach the files and send it all to me (my email address is: mrsmartguy@hotmail.com). Make sure you include the following information in the message:
- Your first name
- Your second name
- Name of the quiz
- Date of creation
- Estimated difficulty (easy, medium, hard)
- Whether there are images in it or not
- Whether you want me to publish your email address or not
